I don't know if it is just the age or what, but Carson has had quite the falls, hits etc.

He hit his head on the metal bed frame and split his head (by his eye) open and Dan had to stitch it up (at home) and I had to hold him down, it was not fun. But it healed up nicely and it looks great. Then just the other day he hit his head on the computer desk and gave himself a nice goose egg. He really does need to wear a helmet everyday!!

Hardware Ranch

About 3-4 weeks ago we went to Hardware Ranch. We ate lunch and then went on a wagon ride to see the elk. Since there was no snow the elk were further up on the hill and not down by us, but it was still fun and we had a great time.

The boys got their hair cut on Sunday night. We cut alot off of Carson and were worried he wouldn't have much left because he had alot of hair on top but not on the sides. But it turned out great and he had alot more hair on the sides than we thought.

Last Sat. morning we had our Ward Christmas Party. We had a yummy breakfast and then Santa came.

Well... there you have it, the crying Santa picture. You at least have to have one right? So... Carson didn't like it so much, but Trevin did pretty good and told Santa he wanted a train for Christmas.

It was Daniel's birthday on the 4th and he turned 29. His last year in his 20's! This year his b-day was on a Sunday so I made him breakfast in bed and then we went to church. After church we had a yummy salmon dinner, opened presents and had pie (I even let him watch football and didn't complain).

Thanksgiving

We had such a fun Thanksgiving this year. We spent a few days at the Hatch's and it was fun to see everyone (especially for the little cousins to play together.)

We looked over at the pumpkin pies and this is what we found. The 2 boys (Trevin and Crew) said that they did it. Great decorations!

This is what the boys and I made a couple of days before Thanksgiving.

This is our Black Fri shopping experience. We got some tv's and they wouldn't fit inside the car, so we had to tape them on top of the car. Jake was not very happy.

Carson's Birthday

Carson turned one on the 16th and we had a fun barnyard bash with our families. (on the Sat. before his birthday.) Carson loved eating his cake and seemed to have a great time. He got some fun toys too (thanks everyone.) Here is what Carson is up to: He can clap, wave, dance (bounce), walk/run, say "da da, cheese, ma ma, wow, a dog bark and this", loves to play with his brother, cuddle with mom or dad (sometimes), loves when daddy comes home from work and he eats like a horse. We just love him.

We are sooo excited that my sister Cassi had her little girl, Kinsley Lynn Skinner on October 31st. The cutest little Halloween baby ever. Congrats Cassi and Andrew.

Halloween this year was so much fun. The boys loved going Trick or Treating and also wearing their costumes.

They dumped out their candy and just went for it.

I looked over at the table and found a whole bunch of suckers, some eaten and some that probably only had one suck.

Ducks and Blacksmith Fork Canyon

Dan went duck hunting acouple of weeks ago and brought home these. Trevin loved it and even ran around with one holding it by the neck. He also said "throw duck at mom" and then started chasing me around trying to throw it at me.

We had fun going up Blacksmith Fork Canyon, where we had a fire and went 4-wheeling. It was so pretty with all of the leaves changing.

At the end of Aug. we got some family pictures taken at Jcpenney's. We haven't had a professional family picture taken, so we definitely needed one. I think it will be awhile though until we get another one because they are just too stressful (picking out outfits that all match, getting the kids to sit still and smile....) I think they turned out pretty good though.

The end of Sept. we were lucky enough to go to Lake Powell again with the Hatch's. This time we took the kids and actually had a great time. Nate, Rachel and the kids, Stephen and Mysha, and Jake were all able to go, which made it so fun. Trevin loves to fish with his McQueen fishing pole and that is what he did most of the time. Rachel was smart enough to buy Crew a McQueen pole too because she knew Trevin had one (somehow they still managed to fight over each others fishing pole..?) The weather was perfect and we had a great time. Thanks Jan and Cordell for inviting us.

We love our new home in Smithfield and also the area, it is so pretty. There is this little river right by our house that we go play at, the kids love it. Trevin could stand there throwing rocks and Carson could sit there eating rocks all day :)

Also, there is a train that goes by our house once a week and it is the highlight of Trevin's week. He loves to wave to the conductor and have him toot his horn.

A couple of weeks ago we went 4-wheeler in Franklin Basin. We (Dan) figured out a way that we all could go....... the kids loved it. Carson was laughing and smiling the whole time, he even fell asleep on the way back down.

Two weekends ago we went with our good friends up to the Uintas camping. We just knew Trevin would have a blast and we were so excited to take him. We ended up leaving Carson with the Hatch's for 2 nights (Thanks again!!)

We finally wen't and saw Cars 2. We have been wanting to take Trevin for so long, but never got to it (except for the time we tried to go and it was sold out.) We found a theater in Ogden that was still playing it and went to it. Trevin seemed to like it ok, but I think the 1st one is still his favorite.

I started a potty chart with Trevin, to see if it motivates him at all.

And also some new Cars underwear.

A couple of weeks ago Trevin got his first bee sting at the park. Once he got a rag and a Popsicle he was great.

Summer Stuff

Well, here are some things that we have been doing this summer. We have been busy, but we are having fun and enjoying our summer. Daniel is loving his job and we are liking Cache Valley so far.

At the beginning of July we went to Jackson Hole for a Hatch family reunion. It was a lot of fun. It also was Grandpa Hatch's 90th birthday!

Carson is standing all by himself now. He pulls himself up onto things and then just lets go.

My mom, sisters and I all went to Park City and went shopping, we had a great time.

Jan had her 50th birthday and Sawyer had her 1st (Same day). We had a fun little party over at their house. We had dinner, opened presents, ate dessert and went swimming.

For family night we went to the Logan Temple and walked around. We put our camera on the ground and took this picture ( I think it turned out pretty good!)

We have been in a couple parades (Newton and Preston). Trevin loved throwing the candy to the kids from the truck.

For the 24th of July they had a little fair on Monday at a park and Trevin got to ride a horse. He was a little nervous but got right on and held on tight.

Last weekend we went to Bear Lake for a staff dental party. We rode wave runners, had a yummy lunch and just played in the sand. What a fun day.

4th of July weekend

Starting on Sat. we went to the Cruise-in in Logan (parade of old, new, cool etc. cars) it was pretty fun. Trevin thought going to a parade meant he would get candy, but this was not a candy parade, so we bought him some cotton candy instead. He had a great time though.

4th of July:

Started off by going to the Lewiston parade. Dan's cousin lives up there, so we met them at their house and had breakfast and then went to the parade.

Trevin had to find every piece of candy and put it in his bag.

Then we went up to the cabin in Preston.

That night we headed down to North Ogden and watched the fireworks at my parents house.

A lot has been going on in the last month. We are enjoying our new place in Logan, especially going to the pool. It has been wonderful to have Daniel home for the last month, but he has officially started working as a Dentist as of June 27th. Here is a little picture update...

It was time. Trevin could get in and out of his crib and I think Carson wanted to be out of the Pack'n Play. We decided to get bunk beds because later on Trevin and Carson could share a room. We got a good deal on KSL and Trevin loves his new bed! He was so excited to help daddy put it together and when it came time to go to bed, he fell right asleep and slept the whole night and every night since then. We are so proud of him.

Lake Powell

Daniel and I went to Lake Powell a couple weeks ago with Dan's family. We left the kids with my parents for a week! It was so much fun and relaxing. This trip is just what I needed.

Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day a little early because Dan and I were leaving to Lake Powell with the Hatch's. I am so grateful for Daniel and all that he does for our family. We love you tons!

Tara's B-day and Anniversary

These past couple of weeks have been crazy busy but we manged to have a little birthday party for my 26th birthday (May 27th), it was actually the day that we made it to Utah, so it wasn't very eventful, but our families got together and we had some cake and ice cream. Also on June 2nd Dan and I celebrated our 6 year Anniversary. My parents watched the kids and Dan and I went out to dinner, got some ice cream and just relaxed!

Moving/Road Trip

We finally got all packed up and headed out Tues. the 24th at like 11:00 pm. We were exhausted, but decided since we were all packed up then why not just head out. It was pretty sad leaving our little home that we have lived in the past 4 years and it was even more sad saying goodbye to such great friends. But we are excited to start our next journey in Utah (which we will be close to family!!)

So, here is the start of our journey. It is a little dark, but we are all loaded up and ready to go. Dan ended up changing the hitch from it being down to up because the truck was too low and it was going to drag (that scared us a little bit) but once he flipped it, it seemed to be o.k.

We ended up driving from 11 pm until about 6:30 am and then stayed at this hotel for the day and then headed out again around 5 that evening.

You get a little bit bored while driving.....

Our next hotel that we stayed at was in Wall, South Dakota and they had a little town that has a strip of neat shops you can go into (Jackson Hole kind of feel).

We decided to go the way we did because we thought it would be cool to see Mt. Rushmore, and that is what we did. It was a lot of fun.

This was on our last day, we were only about 30 minutes away from home. The kids did pretty good. Trevin had a hard time having to stay in his car seat, he kept saying "out" and crying. But for being 2 and stuck in a car seat for hours, he did alright. Carson did a lot better than I thought he would. I would feed him and then he would just fall right back to sleep or just quietly play and then fall asleep.

Daniel's Dental Graduation!

He did it! He graduated from dental school. I am so proud of him. We had a great weekend with family coming in to support him. Here are some pictures of the hooding ceremony, graduation and the luncheon.

First off, we went to dinner with our families and Daniel surprised me with some diamond earring saying that this was my graduation present and that I deserve the degree just as much as he did. Thanks babe, I love them.

Mother's Day and other things

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I love being a mom to these 2 boys. I love them so much. Dan and I also had to speak in church about Mother's/Motherhood. It went well. Glad it is over though.

I got this cute little gift from Trevin that was made in Nursery. Love it.

A couple of weeks ago we got together with our friends from dental school (missing a couple of them) and had a farewell dinner. It was a lot of fun to see everyone one last time.

Yes, Trevin still loves to get in his jumperoo every once in a while. He was trying to get his "baby" (animal blanket) and he flipped forward and was stuck. It was pretty funny.

Carson is just growing up. Both of his bottom teeth came through, he can sit up all by himself, roll all over the place and getting so close to crawling.

We had a wonderful Easter! Here are some of the highlights.....

A couple of days before Easter we colored eggs with Trevin. He liked it, but he kept on trying to put his hands in the dye, so we had to watch him very carefully. Also that night we had an Easter lesson and showed Trevin pictures of Christ, it was pretty cute to watch him look at the pictures and listen to me tell the story.

Well... here are some pictures of what has been going on lately. The boys have alot of fun together. Sometimes when Trevin is by Carson (sitting, laying down etc.) He says "picture mom", it's pretty cute.

Trevin made a fruit loop necklace. He didn't get to many on because he just wanted to eat them.

I usually ask Trevin if he needs to sit on the potty (if I see him tying to go #2) and this time he said "yes", so I sat him down and told him I would give him his privacy. About a minute later I hear him say "mom, mommmm, poop", so I go in and yep he did it, all by himself. He was pretty excited and he got a treat (a jelly bean). He also ended up doing it again the next day. But as for now, we are not really trying/pushing him to potty train, I just ask and if he wants to, why not. ( I blurred the picture because I am sure you didn't want to see his product)

Two days ago (Apr. 6th) Carson mastered rolling over. He is rolling all over the place now.

Last weekend Dan had a dental meeting to go to and he invited me to go with him. The dental company picked us (and some other students) up in a stretch hummer, and then we went to the company and had sushi. Last week we went to this bounce house called the Party Realm. Trevin had a blast running around and bouncing in the houses. This is a great place to "try" and wear Trevin out.

St. Patrick's Day

We started our day off by having green eggs, yogurt, grapes, milk and a bagel (with green butter). Trevin liked it and kept saying "Green"

That night we had steak with sauteed green peppers, mushrooms and onions, asparagus, green salad with green dressing, sweet peas and green sprite. It was a pretty fun day. I always loved it when my mom would make green meals on St. Patrick's Day.

Two weeks in Utah

We got back last week from our 2 week trip to Utah. We did alot in that 2 week period! It was great to see family and just have fun. Some of the events included... Carson's blessing, seeing friends, getting a much needed hair cut, another b-day party for Trevin, welcoming home Dan's brother Jake from his mission, seeing cousins, going to a homecoming and farewell (Dan's brother Jared leaves today) and trying to find a job. We miss everyone, but are glad to be home so Trevin can have a little more structure (he was a wild man while we were there. Too many

people and too big of houses!)

Trevin turned 2 years old on the 10th! He had a fun day with a yummy breakfast, going to open gym time, opening presents and eating cake. Trevin is so much fun and makes us laugh everyday. Happy Birthday, we love you so much.

Last Friday was the Dental School's Winter Ball and we decided to go to it. We had a blast! We haven't done something like that in a long time. We had a fancy dinner, all the drinks you want, picture booth, casino games, and of course dancing!! Thanks to all of our friends which made it a great night.

All ready for the Packer game. We even got Carson some Packer attire. We are excited they are in the playoffs!!

Trevin was being loud/naughty while I was watching a t.v. show (ok I admit it, it was the Bachelor) Anyway... Dan took care of that for me (at least for a minute or two!) Ha Ha

For New Years we went to a friends house that was having a party. They had great food and it was just fun to relax and talk with friends. Trevin couldn't keep his hands off of the drum set. He played them pretty well though (must get it from his grandpa O'Dell). We left the party around 10 pm and put Trevin to sleep and Dan and I watched a movie and then watched the ball drop. After that we went to bed, we were exhausted.

Christmas break fun

Dan's school had a Christmas party on the last day before their Christmas break started, so the kids and I went to it with him. We had to get a picture of Santa and the boys, which I think turned out pretty good. We also did lots of fun things while Dan was on his break. He also helped out a tons at home which I was extremely grateful for. Here are some pictures of what we did.....

This year we decided to stay in Wisconsin for Christmas. It definitely was different, but it was a lot fun with just our little family. To make it feel like Christmas we had to do all of the traditions that we usually do with our families. On Christmas Eve, we made sugar cookies and frosted them, had clam chowder for dinner, and the elves came and left PJ's on our bed. We also did the Nativity story with Trevin.

The Hatch's came to visit and meet little Carson. We fit everyone in our small condo and had a great time. We went to our ward Christmas party, out to eat, played games and went shopping. Thanks so much for coming. Miss you!

Grandma and Grandpa O'Dell meet Carson

Grandma and Grandpa O'Dell came to meet Carson. They came out on Nov. 30th and stayed until Dec. 5th. It was so much fun having them here and we had a great time. Carson got to be held a lot, and Trevin loved playing with "ampa". Thanks for coming we miss you.

Trevin got to open an early Christmas present from g-ma and g-ma. It was a take along Thomas track. He loved it.

We are so excited to have little Carson in our family. Everything went well with the delivery and we are glad to be home. Short version of the "story" is... I didn't feel good on Mon. the 15th and wondered if I had a bug or something. Tues. the 16th I felt a lot better but started having mild contractions every once in a while. The contractions got a little stronger and closer together throughout the day. So luckily Dan was able to come home early and around 4:30 pm we decided to just go to the hospital. We got there around 5 pm and I was a 4 and then shortly after I was a 6. Around this time I got my epidural and then not to much later Carson arrived at 9:08 pm.

Halloween Fun

When Dan took the top off, Trevin could smell the pumpkin and he started sniffing and then he kept on saying "ca ca"

We had a fun filled Halloween with carving pumpkins, dressing up and getting lots of candy. Here are some pictures of the week before Halloween and Halloween day.

A couple of weeks ago, Dan had to go to on off site clinic in Steven's Point (which is about 3 hours away) and stay for 2 nights. Trevin and I decided to go with him and have a little weekend vacation. On our way there we stopped at Holy Hill, which has a Catholic church on top of it and also a very pretty view (one of the highest points in Wisconsin).

We saw this on our way down the street. Pretty funny.

And of course we had to stop at Cabela's and look around!

I don't have any pictures of Steven's point, but we did have a fun time going swimming, watching t.v. on the king size bed, having a yummy continental breakfast and going to a toy store and the mall. Thanks dad for letting us come with you.

Week getaway to Utah

A couple of weeks ago Trevin and I got to go to Utah and visit the family. Dan was doing an externship in Montana for 2 weeks, so I thought that would be a perfect time to go. We had a great time and even survived the air plane flights!! We even got to see the Barrett's and meet little baby Sawyer.

Over Labor Day weekend Dan's Brother Jared came to visit. We had alot of fun and Trevin loved having a buddy to play with (they were like brothers). Trevin would follow him everywhere, jump on him in the mornings and say "tickle tickle"and try tickling him and would get excited when we would say "Do you want to play with Uncle Jared?" and he would say "yes" in his cute little voice. Thanks Jared for coming out and playing with us, we had a great time.

Summer fun!

Well... Lots of fun things have been going on this summer. This last week though hasn't been the greatest, I have been fighting this nasty cold that will not go away, but I am starting to feel better so that is a good sign. I am also 25 weeks pregnant and continue to grow. Daniel finally finished his 3rd year of Dental school and now has a 2 week break, which Trevin and I have been looking forward to. Trevin is busy like usual and learning so much. He just turned 18 months on the 10th. He can say most of the animal sounds and makes us laugh everyday. We had our ultrasound yesterday and found out what we are having. We are so excited. Everything looks great and it was fun to see "it" moving around.

June 23rd -July 11th we went to Utah and had a blast. Daniel stayed for a week and then left to come home so he could go to his High Adventure with the Scouts, so I got to spend another 10 days with my family. The weather has been very nice here except for a few rainy days but we are enjoying being outside and having fun. We have been going to a lot of parks and also the zoo. We just got a zoo pass to the Racine zoo, which is a smaller zoo but perfect for Trevin. Trevin seems to be learning something new everyday, he understands so much of what we say and does the cutest things.

Utah Trip/Wedding/Mother's Day
