HAWAII

One of my dreams came true.... I got to go to Hawaii.  We were planning on going there for our 10 year anniversary, but when one of Dan's dental conventions to California got cancelled and he already took the time off of work, we looked into going to Hawaii and just decided to go for it!!!  Yay, I am so excited his convention got cancelled.  We dropped the kids off at the grandparent's house and headed off.

 Flying in to Honolulu

 We made it.

Pearl Harbor.  Pretty neat to see.

The Arizona.  There is still oil coming up from it.

The Hotel

Dan trying to surf

Ted's Bakery.  We heard a lot about this place and had to check it out.  Very good food.

Day 2:  We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center

This guy was so funny.  He showed us how to get the coconut juice and milk from a coconut, start a fire with sticks and climbed a tree for us.

Dan trying to start a fire.  Got it smoking, but no flame.

Our dinner luau

After dinner we also went to the evening show "Ha: Breath of Life".  It was very good.  It was fun to see all the different Polynesian/Cultrual dances.

Day 3: Went to the Hawaii Temple.  We went to a session and then walked around the grounds. Beautiful!

We then went to a beach that was about a 1.5 hours away.  It was so pretty and the sand was like powder.

Then we went to another beach (Huanma Bay).  It had awesome snorkeling.  We saw some beautiful fish!

Some views from our hotel room.  Loved seeing this view everyday.

Day 4: Wen't to the Dole Pineapple Plantation, and got a yummy pineapple ice cream

Thought about buying this dental office, but decided we would miss our kids too much :)

Cold coconut drinks!

Had fun cruising around in our mustang!

That night we sat in the hot tubs and then went to dinner, which was right on the beach.  So fun and pretty.

Day 5: Went on a walk by our resort and found some turtles

Waimea Falls.  A short walk to this pretty waterfall.  It was fun to swim in it.

For dinner we got sushi and went outside and watched the sunset.

Day 6:  Last day, we were leaving that night.
 Pali lookout

Found some vines to swing on

Waikiki beach

We then went and saw a movie and then headed to the airport.  We had such a great time and are so thankful to our parents who watched our kids for us.  THANK YOU!
